"yes" "no"
When I (Jenny) was little I made up this game called "Yes, No". I would say to Sarah, "You say yes and I'll say no". We would proceed to argue back and forth. The funniest part is that a lot of the time we would actually start to really fight arguing back and forth "YES!" "NO!"
If you plant them they will grow!
I can't remember how old I was but I was probably two or three. One day Dad, Mom, Eric, Sarah, and I (Jenny) were outside working in the garden and playing. I kept getting in dad's way and he was getting frustrated so he threatened that if I didn't stay out of his way he would plant me in the garden! Well, it came time to be done and go inside. I was so upset with dad and mom kept trying to figure out what was wrong but everytime I tried to tell her she didn't understand what I was saying. She would say, "tell me one more time I promise to listen very carefully this time', but she didn't understand me. So I was getting even more mad because I had to keep repeating myself and they were getting more frustrated because they had no idea what was wrong. Finally, mom figured out that I was upset because dad had told me he was going to plant me in the garden and he never did! So, we all went back outside and dad planted all of us in the garden. Of course, I refused to get out until they had watered me and convinced me that I had, in fact, grown!
Stories by Mom!
I have decided to start this blog in honor of my mother. She tells some of the best stories about our family growing up that I thought it would be a shame not to share them. This blog will have contributions from the entire family. I hope that you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed creating them.
